Who are we?
The Vancouver Lifeguard Association is a registered society under The Society Act of the Province of British Columbia.

What does the Association do?
Our purpose is to raise public awareness of the needs of water safety, provide lifesaving and first aid training, offer lifeguard services for major public events and support sport competitions as a means of improving skills and abilities.

Who can join the VLA?
We are a joint community group for any lifeguard in the Lower Mainland that would like to be involved in what we do. We also have memberships available to people who are not lifeguards.

How do I get involved?
Email the association and give a detailed message of what area you would like to be involved with. We are always looking for help to grow the association and provide public events with sufficient numbers of volunteers.

How do I become a member?
Membership forms can be obtained by downloading a copy of our waiver and mailing it back to us. Also any of our Directors can give you a waiver and you can drop off any completed waivers with any one of our Directors.
