Take the Opportunity to Be A Better Lifeguard!
The VLA can offer members the opportunity to become better lifeguards by putting their knowledge, skills, and abilities to use. Take the opportunity to become part of an integral team of lifeguards for open water swim races, triathlons, and Half Ironman races. Take the opportunity to put your first aid knowledge and skills to the test by volunteering for the Celebration of Lights fireworks festival. Take the opportunity to volunteer as an assistant instructor for the VLA Beach Alert Jr. Lifeguard Program. Take the opportunity to train and practise with the VLA’s Sport Lifesaving Club.
Every opportunity the VLA offers will build on your previous teaching experience and lifeguarding skills and will become a substantial addition to your resume.
