Who we are
The Vancouver Lifeguard Association is a registered non-profit society under The Society Act of the Province of British Columbia.
What we do
Our purpose is to create a community of lifeguards throughout the Metro Vancouver area. Thu,s raising public awareness of the importance of water safety through providing lifesaving and first aid training, offering lifeguard services for public events and support sport competitions as a means of improving skills and abilities.
Who can join the VLA?
We are a joint community group for any lifeguard or person in the Metro Vancouver area that would like to be involved and aligns with our mission, vision and values.
Our vision is a thriving Vancouver lifeguard community where lifeguards , past, present and future, connect, learn and support each other.
The Vancouver Lifeguard Association provides social connections, valued experiences and leadership development for current and future lifeguards.
Integrity, Participation, Leadership, Community, Spirit, Health, and Wellness.
How do I get involved
Email the association at (email@example.com) and give let us know how you and why you would like to be involved and we will give you your next steps. There is also an online volunteer registration form that can be filled out and sent. We are always looking for passionate lifeguards and community members to grow the association.
